    US Bike Route 51

    Welcome to Sky-Vue Lodge

US Highway 71, which runs past the front door of Sky-Vue Lodge, is now part of US Bike Route 51. This series of routes, both road and adventure, has been created by the Adventure Cycling Association. " Since 1973, we’ve been helping people discover the world and experience the fullness of life through bicycle adventures. "

This new  88 mile route, the second created in Arkansas, begins at the Missouri state line where US 71 crosses into the state at the north edge of Bella Vista. It joins, and uses the Razorback Greenway near the Blowing Springs Park, and follows the Greenway for 35 miles to the south edge of Fayetteville. It then utilizes Business 71 South just west of Walker Park on 15th Street. The route continues on south on BR 71 and US 71 through the West Fork, Winslow, and the Boston Mountains all the way to Alma where it currently ends at Interstate 40. We are excited to be on the highest point of the whole route, just north of the peak of Mt. Gayler, the highest point on US 71 in it's entirety.

From Missouri to Sky-Vue is 65 miles and from Sky-Vue to Alma is 23 miles. The interactive map can be viewed here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/45884770 Sky-Vue has always been bicycle friendly during the 30 years of our ownership and now we also stock a selection of spare tubes, inner cables, and CO2 cartridges. We can assist with minor adjustments and repairs and we have some snacks and drinks available. Come see us, stay and enjoy the view. Your hosts, Glenn and Janice Jorgenson
