US Highway 71, which runs past the front door of Sky-Vue Lodge, is now part of US Bike Route 51. This new 88 mile route, the second created in Arkansas, begins at the Missouri state line where US 71 crosses into the state at the north edge of Bella Vista and runs over the top of Mt. Gayler and down to Alma, Arkansas at I-40. We have accommodations, snacks, spare tubes, CO2 and can help with minor repairs and adjustments. Stop, look, and stay awhile!

Historic Sky-Vue Lodge is a family-friendly Bed and Breakfast with affordable rates, 15 mile back porch views, mouth-watering homemade breakfasts, and comfortable, modernized mountain cabins and well appointed lodge rooms.
The property sits near the top of Mt. Gayler in the Boston Mountains, part of the Arkansas Ozarks. It is the perfect place for a romantic getaway with your spouse, an economical base for a family vacation, or a University of Arkansas football game weekend.
Sky-Vue is an inspiring location for office day retreats, regional business seminars, church retreats and family reunions. The Lodge is conveniently located halfway between Fort Smith and Fayetteville, Arkansas on beautiful Scenic Byway 71. We have modern amenities with yesteryear's feel.
Sky-Vue Lodge is just minutes from many attractions that the whole family will enjoy. Nearby are Devils Den and Lake Fort Smith State Parks, historic downtown Van Buren, breathtaking scenic drives, and the Arkansas and Missouri tourist train. Walk just across the street to Ozark Folkways for locally crafted art. Hike down and fish in one of our ponds, or just enjoy a good book on the covered back porch.
Whether you need the hustle and bustle of an activity filled vacation or a relaxing porch-swing get-away, Sky-Vue has it all. Come, sit, and enjoy your own....

Our full country breakfast usually starts with fresh fruit in season and hot cereal with homemade granola when the mornings turn cooler. These are followed by platters heaping with fresh, hot pancakes with sausages, French toast and bacon, delectable egg casseroles and homemade cinnamon rolls, or many other things on a menu that is always changing. Of course, no breakfast would be complete without your choice of coffee, hot tea, or hot chocolate, and ice-cold juice.
Cabin # 1
The Main Lodge, seen here from Scenic Byway US 71, gives a new meaning to Mi casa es su casa. Our home really is yours too. You may stay in one of the cabins or lodge rooms but you will enjoy your morning coffee in our sitting area and eat breakfast in our spacious dining room with enough windows to imagine that you are dining outside. Watch the antics of the feisty hummingbirds or any of the many varieties of birds, native to the Ozarks, that feast at our feeders while you enjoy a hearty breakfast.
The Lodge is the main hub of activity much of the time. Come to the main office for ice or to check out movies, and games. Our courtesy phone is in the front hall of the office, and is available during office hours. (Usually 7:00am to 10:00pm.) The gift shop is located here as well. We have recently added a line of professional kitchen tools and gadgets to the giftshop. They are higher quality at a much lower cost than most catalog or specialty parties. You can pick up a thankyou for the person who watched your pets and plants while you were away.
